You heard me right, your gas > lines freeze. Just so no one gets all excited about this, but the gas won't freeze, nor will the ethanol. But if there is any water in the gas, IT will freeze, and this blocks the lines. Alcohol added to the gas will mix preferably with the water and lower its freezing point. The little droplets of water/alcohol can then pass thru the fuel system and the engine. There's nothing you can do to make the water burn, but at least this keeps the real fuel coming. Otherwise, the water collects at a low spot in the fuel system, freezes, and then nothing else can get by, bringing the engine to a halt. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
