Best plugs I've ever seen then or probably since. A lot of that can have to do with the ignition system. It's my understanding that the duration of the spark has a LOT to do with the rate of spark plug electrode erosion. A lot of modern electronic ignition systems produce an intense spark that puts the same amount of spark energy into a much shorter time period (on the order of 1/10th as much time.) This will make any spark plug last longer. This is one of the advantages of a CDI ignition. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
