I would not go more than .040" oversize, because the main bearings available for sizes larger than that do not have the steel backed #2 main. One thing that might make this junk would be if the lifter bores were worn oversize. RIMCO can fix those, too, but it's quite expensive. I suspect that this is one area that most of us don't pay much attention to when doing a rebuild.
