But if they are resealed properly, they can be sealed back up. One thing that is hurting you right now, is that yours is not being driven every day, and it is not sitting level. My '71 AT only leaks if it sits for a few days. With mine, it is the converter draining down into the trans, and raising the fluid level above the pan gasket, and I know my pan is warped a little. My pan has probably been off 6 or 7 times in its lifetime. I change fluid every 30K miles. -- Russ Wolfe '71 FB AT '66 FB MT '64 T34 (not running) '65 T1 (not running) '05 KIA Sorento SUV russw@classicvw.org http://www.classicvw.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
