[T3] Key question

<x-flowed>Greetings

I am trying to get some keys for the Notch. I have two incomplete sets. I have an ignition key and it does not fit the door locks. I have a door lock that does not fit the ignition. On one set of door locks there is a key code so I am assuming that I can get a key made for them. But I cannot find a similar code for the ignition.

My questions are;

Were these cars originally sold with two keys, one for the ignition and one for the doors? Does anyone know the relationship between that key code and the key code for the ignition key? Or where does one find the ignition key code?

There is a web site, called Key Men that appears to provide a service where by they will make keys for so-called classics, including type 3s. Does anyone have any experience with them?

By the way, on a separate note, this weekend saw us get the doors to fit so I think that we now have al the body panels fit and can plan to blow primer inside and out. Yikes - is this progress?

Thanks.

Dave
