The rest of it is pretty straight forward. The one fix for the clutch cable is to install a hydraulic clutch. VW ISPWest sells a kit for about $200. Is there a specific reason you want to switch out your automatic?? They are actually a pretty tough tranny, if you change fluid regularly, and don't let them run low on fluid. -- Russ Wolfe '71 FB AT '66 FB MT '64 T34 (not running) '65 T1 (not running) '05 KIA Sorento SUV russw@classicvw.org http://www.classicvw.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
