I seem to remember that the discussion led to the use of t-4 gaskets, that 
needed to have the corners rounded. Last year when I did mine (for my Notch), I 
used some 1 1/8 ID hard drawn copper tubing (cut to about 3/16ths wide). Russ 
Wolfe suggested using thermocouples as they are soft, copper and work great if 
you cut the ends to get it to seal when tightened. I hope this helps.
