I'm in Europe as well, and while these cars arent everywhere anymore 
like they used to be, there are sources to find fenders. The most 
important thing is that you should try to find any VW forums close to 
where you live. There is often other people close to you who have 
fenders and other body panels.

If you cant find anything close, try to look across Europe. One place to 
start is the forums at http://www.volksforum.com (based in the 
Netherlands, but international section is present), or you could try 
some German vendors who stock used and NOS VW parts, like 
http://www.vw-axel-stauber.com/
