The big problem is looking into all of the > options and making a decision. I'm surprised to hear that all the type 4 cylinder spigots are the same size, but I suppose it's possible. A couple of other facts remain: All type 4 engine parts are much more expensive than type 1 parts; 1800 type 4 parts are more expensive than other type 4 engine parts; to make an 1800 into a 2L requires a new (expensive!) crank. I THINK that the 1800 parts are just expensive because there were rather few of them made and there is little demand for them as compared to the 2L. Since there were lots of 2L busses made, I'd hold out for one of those. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
