It sounds like something is not right. Is there any kind of a switch to
change from 4 cyl to 6 cyl?
Can you take a picture of it and send it to me?
For now, I would trust a feeler gage that you know is right, to an
unknown meter.
Changing the dwell a few degrees, shouldn't make the engine ping.
