JacobE=> its got a weber on it (yuck) => what should i look into to get it moving a little => better? Welcome to the list. A stock fuel system will do best for you with the least hassle. Your car probably came with fuel injection, and that's probably gonna be what most people recommend. *Any* non-stock system, even the earlier dual carbs, will entail hassle ranging from mild to extreme, and most won't work any better than that nasty Weber without serious commitment in terms of money and time tuning the entire engine. The problem is overfueling, by the way, that's why it craps out every time to get your foot in it. It's wasting your fuel and shortening your engine life to boot. Gad only knows why anybody ever thought that carb was a good idea for VWs. => id like to put a 009 in it (if you => guys think thats a good idea) Is there any *reason* you'd like to do this? If you're trying to solve a problem, tell us about it. Check the archives for the various 009 threads. Bottom line: bad idea.
