I'm gonna have to agree with Keith. My '72 has the flow-thru ventilation but
I remember when I was growing up my sister and I -- and Hollie, our dog, who
sat/layed in the back cargo area -- HATED it when my parents would shut the
rear hatch because we could feel the pressure pulse in our little ears :-(
Even the doors required a firm closing and we'd still feel a small pulse.
Back when I had heat exchangers and I insulated the flexible hoses and made
sure my connections were as close to air-tight as could be, my baby did a
pretty good job at keeping the interior warm so I would believe the flow-thru
ventilation helped in that respect.
