These engines have a nasty tendency to swallow a valve if the guides get too worn... generally after 60Kmiles but much sooner of the valve train geometry is not set up properly. Its likely that the valve will stick again if the engine holds it open when it comes to a stop. Generally, pull the heads... new guides and exaust valves, intakes too if you can. GET QUALITY ORIGINAL PARTS. I generally take care of any other little things that may need it when the engine is out like replace the main crank seal, exaust issues etc. Keith > > Well I decided why not and whacked the stuck valve with a hammer and dowel. > It sprung right out and now my car is running again.
