Hello all, I saw this thread, and just had to post a message. Two years ago, after finishing all of my front wheel well and rocker panel welding, and prepping/painting the area with various POR-15 products, I decided to do something different to keep the rain away from the metal. I put on rubber gloves, pumped big wads of silicone caulk into my hand, and sdlathered it all over the underside of the fender, and on the inner wheel well area. After two years you'd be hard-pressed to remove it at all, let along in the big sheets that the spray on undercoating yields. I may have offended the purists with this one, but this technique seems to work very well. If you do this, though, be sure to wear a respirator, because those silicone fumes will knock you on your rear.
