When measuring, ignore the diameter at the front. Only the main, largest 
diameter counts, as this is the diameter that is responsible for generating the 
hydraulic force. If the piston retaining plates are there you will notice that 
they are also different between our calipers and the type 1 calipers. Ours look 
like the ones shown in the type 3 Bentley manual.
