[T3] Type 3 calipers

<x-flowed>It has been mentioned that the Type 3 caliper piston is 42 mm vs. 40 mm for 
Ghias.  I had the opportunity to buy a set of calipers this weekend that I 
was pretty sure were off a '69 Fastback but when measured, they were 40 mm. 

How do you measure them?  I noticed the piston has a step on the edge so do 
you include that step or ?
