Something to look for to check its >conpatability with my '63 notch? Well a 68 would normally be FI, but since you're using it in an earlier car you'll be swapping to to a carb. The big thing I can think of is the engine bay is smaller on the early car which makes fitting dual carbs harder, and the cooling tin is different ( 2 pcs and wider). >I know my car being a 6v will change things like the >gen, flywheel, etc, but are teh carbs also an issue? Yes, you'll need to convert the heads over to use a single carb as the engine bay is smaller (or you'll have to modify the cooling tin and run without an air cleaner with duals), and the cooling tin swapped for the smaller engine bay. You've already mentioned the obvious items that need to be swapped. >I'm just looking for someway to tell if it will be an >ok buy, and nothing major will need to change in order >to fit into my notch. The rest shouldn't be a problem, as the engine case will swap, and the engine size will be a little larger (100cc's). You might need to have the carb jetting checked. Others here with early cars are bound to know more than I. I hope this helps.
