RE: [T3] radio installation

I made a custom bracket out of ali plate and very light ali angle. It bolts under the centre of the dash and has a support which runs across the back and bolts to the glove box support bar at one end, and the steering column at the other end. It also has a little L shaped strut to take the standard support bolt which sticks out of the middle of your average radio.

I'm very pleased with it and it is rock solid. Apart from the holes in the underside of the dash it is completely "benign" and reversable installation. If you spray the visible parts with a colour matched aerosol can, it looks really good.

I have been meaning to "publish" it on a website somewhere. In the mean time if anyone is interested I can email photos of it.

Cheers,

Matt.
