The A3's had some bad years with the automatics, but the engines were still bulletproof, and I think the standard tranneys too. T3 autos last 150-200K from what I understand, the standards over 200K if not abused.. I drive mine hard but not abusive, and its just getting pretty noisy now at 288K Keith > I just had a harsh introduction to present-day VW > quality.
