<x-charset utf-7>BOY... glad to hear you have a new square but the LAST thing you want to do is go back to the dark ages of Carbs when you have FI. Is it not running well? I and others can certainly walk you though all you need to get it working properly again, and parts are all available through the list for very reasonable prices. I even have an FI FAQ I could send, this is the simplist and most straight forward FI system out there and once its set up you can forget it, nothing else to adjust. If you do go to carbs... Webers, for a stock application, are probably a worst choice for dual carbs. Stock Solex's are commonly available as are the rebuild kits for them and they are made and setup specifically for this engine so will be optimal. Lastly, RUN dont walk from the 009... again, its one of the poorest choices despite the hype about it. You can use any of the FI distributors and get better performance and gas mileage. The 69 is probably the best. Keith . +AD4- The first thing we are doing, besides grinding the rust, is to swap the +AD4- fuel injection for dual carbs (34 ICT). We also have a low pressure fuel +AD4- pump (stand and rod), 009 dist, bosch blue coil, Bosch wires, bosch +AD4- plugs. Is there anything else I need to replace to complete the swap? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org </x-charset>
