Unless it is a 914 engine, it's a 1.8L which is an engine to avoid, mainly 
because parts for these are really expensive. There's little point in picking 
one up with the thought of converting it to a 2.0 because you'll spend more in 
the upgrade than a 2.0 engine would cost.

There's nothing here that you can use in your type 3 without lots of work, and 
if you're willing to do all that work then you should find a 2.0 to make the 
work worthwhile.
