Bug shocks will fit, but they are a bit less stiff than our OE shocks. If you buy new ones you'll be getting bug shocks. Our OE shocks are incredibly good quality. Don't throw them away as long as they still have drag in both directions. Sometimes I can just press the old bushing back in. Use a vice and dish detergent to lubricate it, then wash it off afterwards. If your bushing is shot, you might be able to sift thru the trash at a place that replaces a lot of shocks and get one you can use. I believe that all shock bushings are just pressed into place, not bonded. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
