Hey all, I just returned from "Pick Your Part", Stanton, here in southern california, and here is what I found: 1- a 70 square, fully intact, complete engine (looks like it was running), good body, good glass (tinted!), good floor, original muffler/heater boxes/small htr boxes, brakes, auto tranny, axles, doors, fenders, wheels, hubcaps. The car is biege with hienus spot lights along the top of the windshield!!. I saw no rust except under the battery. 2- In the holding area for cars to be soon released, a notch that looks like it may be a 65 or so. good body sanded and looks like it was a project in progress and the body was being prepped for paint. Also. lowered in the front for sure, dunno about the back. Couldn't see far enough thru the fence if the interior was good but the body sure looked fine to me. duuno about the floors either but the car stood well with no visible rust or dents on the left side. Lastly for those who extend their love beyond vws, an absloutely complete and spotless ~1966 mercedes 220. it looks like it just rolled of the show room!.not even a tear in the dash, really made me sad. So if anyone out there in the orange county area listening, go rescue at least the notch. The place is on Beach Blvd. slightley past the intersection with cerritos blvd. in Stanton, ca. good luck hisham 70 sq ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
