Solder probably wouldn't work anyway, it may get too hot for that, but I've heard of people tightening up the rivets to improve the continuity. > About where I live, I am I Az, on a Military Base and the closest place I > have that resembles a VW shop looks like a Barn next to a Junk Yard, I am > not sure I want those Guys working on my Fasty. This actually sounds like the PERFECT kind of place to ask about old parts. If they have them (new, or more likely used) they'll probably be happy to sell them. I agree, do your own work. No need to ask them to install them. I bought a lot of good used parts over the years from a place called Tom's VW Barn. ;-) -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
