Re: [T3] running on 2 cylinders

<x-flowed>
* The engine starts and idles, the car will move, but power is low.

yes

* After warmup you find that the left head is still cold.
    (inference: left side not firing)

yes

* Results are the same with the air cleaner off, and you can see airflow
through the left carb.
    (air/fuel path not blocked)

yes

* Compression tests OK
    (valves OK)

yes, 90 on #4, 100 on #3

* You can tweak the linkage and see fuel flowing in the left carb.
    (fuel present in carb and cylinders)

yes - but is the accellerator pump nozzle different from the jet? I'm wondering if I could still have a scenario where the jet is clogged, or the jet cut off valve is malfunctioning.

* You're *sure* your spark plug wires are correctly routed.

yes, but will re-check tonight to be extra-sure.

* Timing light indicates discharge via all wires.
    (ignition/distributor OK)

yes

* Spark plugs all look reasonably OK, not fouled.
    (spark probably present and on time)

spark plugs a little blackish, and maybe a touch oily, but other than that ok.

Remind me, I've forgotten -- was the car running OK before? What were the
circumstances of the change in performance?

I didn't make any any changes to the engine between the time it was running strong and the time it had a loss of power.
