In 64 there was a special cable used to release the seat backs. This cable ran from the bottom front of the door openings to the inside rear of the seat rails on each side. I think if you open your door and look at the bottom front of the opening you'll see a little lever there which used to operate this cable. This was a feature on early type 3s that has always failed by now. They were very troublesome. I wonder if ANYONE out there has an early type 3 with these seat back releases working? > I guess I'll continue my look for window regulators. Those before 68 are different, but I suspect that the only difference might be the shaft where it fits to the winder knob.
