Re: [T3] Part number identification

<x-flowed>Thank you for the response Jim. The cable is installed in my car. It runs from center of the rear seat to the front on the console. It hen loops along the passenger foot well and travels back to the rear of the car along the passenger side just above the pan gasket. It's not connected inside the car and I have not traced it completely to the rear of the car as it disappears in the body. Just thought the number would tell me what it does. Guess I'll need to look harder. I thought maybe it could be a heater cable or e-brake cable but I thought these were under the car in the shifter linkage conduit.
I guess I'll continue my look for window regulators. Mine are stripped on the top portion of the sprocket teeth.

Thanks alot for the help

Mike

I have an opportunity to buy two window regulators on ebay but I believe these are beetle parts. Would they work in my 64 squareback?

Sorry, but type 1 and type 3 window regulators are completely different.

My other delema is a cable I have in my car that is not connected to anything. I just wonder where it should go.

Part number 311861949

I can't find this number. Where is this cable and what does it look like? Do you mean that it's installed somewhere (if so, where) or that it's just a spare that came with the car (which would explain why it has a part # on it.)
