Re: [T3] running on 2 cylinders

If you have stock carbs, check the idle valve on the side of the carb is
working properly. To do this turn the ignition on without starting the
engine then pull the wire off the 3 & 4 side carb and listen for a click as
you touch the wire to the terminal.
I did this and I didn't hear any click. But I did the same thing on the
other side, and still didn't hear a click.
You can also pull the same wire off the other side while the engine is
running and it should
die if it is only running on 1 & 2.
The engine didn't die when I pulled the wire off the right side carb. So
just to be sure, I pulled it off both sides at the same time, and the
engine continued to run. Maybe the type of carb I have doesn't require this
to be connected?
Just to make sure I yanked the correct wire, each of my carbs has 2
electrical connections. One of them attached to a round thing on the rear
of the carb, which I assume is the choke. The other attaches to a
cylindrical fitting on the side of the carb closes to the outside of the
engine.
