Some of you may have all the free time in the world to adjust or replace points but I don't. And in my case this is going to be my daughters daily driver. I want it to be as reliable as possible. So if I can change out a part that needs maintenance with one that doesn't need any I am there! The first time someone invents valves that don't need adjusting whooo Hooo! Just because one or two of you have not had good luck with something new or not stock doesn't mean it is junk. I appreciate all the experience on this list, and maybe it's just me, but I feel like I (or anyone else) am being put down when I mention anything about something other than stock. This email is the perfect example. From the first time I posted I was thinking of putting a 009 on my SB I came away thinking it was the dumbest idea I had ever had and yet, at least out here, 99% of the cars at shows have an 009 distributor (not to mention the 65 bug I had years ago), go figure (just one example). So off my soap box I go and back to work on our SB. Please don't take offense to my post.
