If it's a bearing it's serious. If it's a loose head it may be serious, or
you may be able to fix it rather easily.

Did this OH include case savers? If not, then you may have a stud which
has pulled out. This would require a rebuild to fix, but if a few nuts
have just come loose on the head then you can fix this in the car. I
recommend case savers as part of ANY engine rebuild

A rod bearing problem would require pulling the engine and disassembling
the engine at least down to the case.
