In preparation for re-installing my gas tank, I wanted to install an in-line valve just below the tank outlet. I anticipate having to replace the steering knuckles sometime soon, as the bellows are split, and removing the tank provides some great access to the area. In case anyone else needs an in-line fuel shut-off, you'll find them in the lawn mower parts section, as a couple of mowers use them. If you go to a NAPA place, here's the part number, 7-02324 Fuel Shut-off Valve. It cost about $5. It has 1/4" barb fittings on either side, and is nice and small so it won't interfere with the fuel line run.
