I guess Kevin and I shed bad luck on each other trying to room together in Hershey. I was at about the two hour mark on my 6.5 hour journey that I have been planning for the last year and a half, when I got this strange noise coming from some where? When I would let my foot off the gas just slightly, there was this loud vibration noise ringing through the car. But as soon as I gave it gas the noise went away. I stopped at a rest area and checked everything out and all seemed fine. But as soon as I was back on the highway that super loud vibration would continue. I got to the half way point at New Stanton, PA and called the Invasion motel looking for Jim A. or anyone for advice. But he was not available, so I left a message. Not 10 minutes later John J. called me back. We tried a few things but nothing seemed to work. I asked around New Stanton for a mechanic and they pointed out this guys shop/house a few miles away. He took it for a test drive and put it up on the lift. But nothing seemed amiss. We checked the gear oil in the tranny and it was not full of metal etc. So, I drove about 35 miles west to Washington, PA. Thats when I think the guys at the Invasion found the problem, they called me an said to check flex plate, the bolts were probably loose. I tried to follow their advice, but I could not find the bolts to tighten. To bad I didn't have that lift anymore! I had my wife rent a uhaul trailer and drive out to pick me up. But when she arrived, the trailer was too big for our van to pull with the car on it. The empty trailer was 2000 pounds and our van is rated at 2000 pounds! So I had to take the chance and drive it back to Columbus. I made it fine, but poorer, very disappointed, and half deaf from the noise! Better luck next time??? I hope everyone had a good time!
