Mark=> The port in these throttle bodies is just a small hole in the => wall just below the throttle butterfly in its idle position. The vacuum port on the PDSIT carb is is high on the outboard side of the lower carb body. The right-side port is cast in but not drilled, and there should be a 4mm brass tube in the left side for distributor vacuum. Any port below the throttle plate -- in other words, in the intake manifold -- is for the balance pipe. If there's actually a vac port in your throttle plate, I don't know what its purpose might be. Maybe vacuum retard for a dual-vac distributor?
