The vacuum port on the PDSIT carb is is high on the outboard side of the
lower carb body. The right-side port is cast in but not drilled, and there
should be a 4mm brass tube in the left side for distributor vacuum.

Any port below the throttle plate -- in other words, in the intake
manifold -- is for the balance pipe. If there's actually a vac port in your
throttle plate, I don't know what its purpose might be. Maybe vacuum retard
for a dual-vac distributor?
