If I recall correctly, the semi-chewed wire was laying up against the intake manifold distributor pipes. Oops. The wire had a few bare spots and seemed *really* flimsy. Why didn't I re-wrap it? Stupidity. > I'd > rather see you neatly wrap some > electrical tape over the chewed insulation than try > to replace a section. OK, I'll try to reinforce it with electrical tape as well, and maybe find a way to attach it to something closeby so that it isn't just flip flopping around inside the engine compartment. > > > Anyway, is this most likely my problem? > > Not necessarily. The wire that goes from the sensor goes to a little yellow clip with a terminal on each side of it, right? Well, it's the *other* part of that wire, from the clip to where it joins the rest of the harness that's the problem. > Check the main power relay > under the back seat to make sure that it is screwed > down tightly, so the ground > wire there is well grounded. Will do. I think I'm finally, once and for all, going to take care of that FI pump "always on" condition before I do anything else that involves trying to start the car. Thanks again.
