[T3] Which model is my Notch?

<x-flowed>I have had my Notch for 2 months now, and still can not verify which 
model she is. She is a 1964 sunroof. She has holes on her body for 
chrome trim. She has pop-out windows. She was pearl white with cord 
silver interior, so says VW. She has a wrap around dash and z-type arm 
rests. @ ash trays in back. Premium fuel sticker under hood by gas tank. 
She has springs for her trunk lid, no prop rod. All of these things say 
1500 "S". But.......her vin is 315075763, and the 315 says standard lhd 
notch, not "S", and she has knobs for the lights and wipers, no push 
button console. I read at www.type3.com that she may be a rare 1500 "E" 
which is identical to the "S" but has a standard motor w/side draft 
carb.  I don't want to proceed with the car until I know. Anyone???????????
