Re: [T3] Which model is my Notch?

James:

The push button dash was phased out mid-64 so that's not going to give any
clues. Prop rods, plain Jane interior, no overriders, etc are all
characteristics of standard model cars, definitely more rare than deluxe
versions. Your car sounds is definitely not a standard model. Is your
motor a single or dual carb? As far as I know, and it's a pretty obscure
subject, 1500 'E' models were '65 only. In Canada you could buy a '64 1500
or 1500 TS. The '64 1500 is identical to the 1500 TS but with a single carb
motor. In '65 somewhere the TS was dropped from the dual carb model, making
it the 1500 and an 'E' was added to the single carb model. If you've got a
factory single carb engine my bet is that you've got a Canadian 1964 1500.
Rare but unfortunately not blessed with any special badging.

Andre
