There are lots of possibilities: bad battery, bad battery connection, bad solenoid, bad connection on the solenoid, bad starter contact in the ignition switch, bad connection in either end of the wire to the solenoid, bad engine/transmission ground strap, bad connection at either end of the ground strap. Question to get you started: When you turn the key ON, do the idiot lights come on?
