The FI AT & MT ones are the same length. The only difference is the fact that the AT one was threaded. VW discontinued the plain (MT) version years ago, so the only spare you can buy is the AT one, but it works fine, unless, like me, it annoys you to have that setscrew bearing down on those threads.
