think it was about '66. Prior to that, the early T-1 throttle cables

The T-1's just had a piece of plastic tubing in the mid '60's. And I
think it was just to facilitate assembly on the assembly line. They
usually shrank to be too short after a few years, and actually caused
throttles to stick.
