Suddenly having trouble with engaging 2nd gear in my manual transmission. No grinding or noises from the transmission, and it has always shifted smoothly until yesterday. No problems with any other gears. It developed a sudden tendency to go into 4th when I try to engage 2nd. What kind of repair am I looking at here? The tranny supposedly was rebuilt soon before I got the car 25k miles ago. Actually, I think it's a Type 1 tranny because it has only one drain plug. I have never changed the fluid, although I did top it off once with about a half pint of GL-4.
