If the aftermarket beetle parts work for us then that is a blessing, and I guess I should get a couple of those parts just to have here on the shelf. OTOH, it IS a bit troubling that the Chirco web site didn't list the parts above as working for type 3s. I found the same part at RMMW, for $2 more. Here's the URL: http://www.motorworks.com/search2_description.asp?UID=2003111307363986&ITEMNO=11 3+255+107X Note that they don't list it as fitting type 3s either. Would someone please measure the OD of the pipe that exits the rear on their beetle's heat exchanger. On a type 3, the OD of this pipe is almost exactly 1- 3/8". -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
