There is a green/white CD wire that goes to the points side of the coil. There is a black CD wire that should go to the D+ generator terminal. It could be installed in the wrong place. I don't see many blue wires in the Bentley colored wiring diagrams, but you could look them over carefully to see what you find. Those wires and their colors are shown in the 72-3 wiring diagram. In looking for this wire, I also noticed that on the page after the 72-3 wiring diagram there is an accessory diagram that seems to show something wrong. It shows the power for the rear window defogger coming from the coil, just like the kickdown switch. Since the RWD relay is under the back seat, I thought all the defogger power I'd ever seen came wired directly from the voltage regulator. Anyone ever seen it as shown in this diagram? -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
