Your '70 originally had fuel injection. When they put carbs on, too bad they didn't use stock Solex carbs from a '67. Those are the only stock 122V carbs for the Type 3. I don't think there is a solution to the oil bath filter question for the Webers. You're stuck with the paper (or whatever) filter. If you still have the FI parts, you should consider putting it all back on. Your car (and the AT) will probably be happier. > related note, is there a good jack point to use to raise the rear wheels and > leave the front ones on the ground? I have a hydraulic jack and jackstands. Under the torsion bar tubes. Big round tubes just forward of the axles. -Mark Fuhriman '69 Fastback ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
