In this case the drive slot is parallel to the fan pulley, or 90* from the case split. A type3 is supposed to be installed with the dizzy drive 60* from the case split to allow clearance for the vacuum unit to clear the generator and cooling tin. This is a very common mistake, but if not corrected it can lead to tune up trouble for the next owner who doesn't know that there is a difference in the drives position. I hope this clears this up a little, and helps you understand the differences.
