Youll be starting a much bigger project by switching to a carb,  alot of
experimentation, jetting and setting up await you... once the FI is fixed
its Done... boom!  all over with and running perfectly,  just stay in the
mindset that its the simplest electronic system out there.

Webers are a poor choice... the progressive is downright mistake.  Its a
carb that came off a Pinto... remember how poorly they ran?  anywho the
progressives overcarburate our little engines and mask mixture problems in
doing so, they cut engine life roughly in half.
