In that case, you must have the earlier front plate, or earlier IAD.

Okay, this is the AT AAR. It will work for you, but you might want to change it 
at some point. This one is electrically heated, so there is a wire from it what 
will need to be connected. Is your car an AT car?

The port that is at the upper left of the intake hole on the IAD is the vac 
advance. On the 72 IAD only there is another port down low near the big air 
opening. There should also be a larger port on the left side, between the #3 & 
4 air runners, either above or below, depending on the year. This larger port 
goes to the pressure sensor.

If you've got a 72 IAD with a FI system from a different year, just leave the 
vac retard port plugged up.

Yes, but this would make this hose really long and in the way. You'd be better 
off getting the right air cleaner, and I think these would be rather easy to 
find. I have several if you can't find one closer.
