I started a restoration on a 64 T34 that, like your car, began with the best intentions, but ended up becoming an expensive parts car. If the car has as much rust as you say, it's not going to be worth anything near what it will cost you to repair it in the long run. I'd find another fastback, unless you are dead set on restoring this one.
