   Aha, that's it, I have the Omega bracket, that the PO put to the 
left of the generator with only one side of the Omega attached.  This 
lasted 6 years...  I'll have to look at examples of both 
locations/brackets and decide which place to mount it, probably go back 
to stock '66.  Thanks Jim.
