Re: [T3] Need rust repair advice

Hey Cayson, David Walters here. As the man said, "Shoot, that ain't nuthin'". You shoulda
seen my floorpans, straight out of Bedrock. I'll post a picture later-I'm at work right
now- but I had to resort to new Ghia pans on mine with the 5MPH braces welded back on.
T3D's is a good source but my order got seized by DOT and held in Chicago for 6 weeks
while I filled out forms about whether the parts were DOT legal (Euro lenses and two out
rocker skins) PITA. I agree with Dave Hall, the POR 15 I used to fill some pinholes in my
kick panels around the pedals didn't fill well at all and actually pulled out with the
blue 3M tape afterwards. I use a little cutout piece of glass matt and soaked it with
product and it held up just fine, sanded and painted good also. I ended up with having
the Wizards do two full pan halves, two heater channels and outer rocker skins, all four
hinges and two doors, all mixed years and sculpted to match. And I paid for it. An
excellent job but *way* beyond my talent. Hope it works,
David Walters
