<x-flowed>I assume the little clip that holds on the curved door brace needs to be removed to slip on the new square part of the new rubber.
Also, I know I've seen it here before, but what type of glue should I use?

You really only have to get all the old rubber off, plus any large lumps of glue. I've used a putty knife or a wide screwdriver.
